Montreal Mirabelle - Honolulu

Why hello there IFC :waving_hand:
Last night I decided to cross off another bucket and fly Montreal Mirabelle :canada: → Honolulu :hibiscus: with my favorite DC10 operator - Canadian International Airlines! I don’t have much to say here as the pictures will surely speak for themeselves :camera_with_flash:!

My next IFAET Airport

Airline Canadian Airlines International
Aircraft: DC-10-30 (C-GCPJ)
Departure Airport: Montreal Mirabelle Int’l CYMX
Arrival Airport: Daniel K. Inouye Int’l PHNL
Speed: Mach 0.83
Altitude: FL400 (40,000)
Flight Time: 10hrs 9mins

The first view of our beautiful 1979 built DC-10-30 that will take us west as we step off the shuttle bus from the terminal :bus::heart_eyes:
From being built until it was scrapped in 2003, this bird flew for Singapore Airlines, CP Air, Canadian, Continental and coinsidently Hawaiian has it’s final operator!

Rotating off Mirabelle’s runway 24 with a gorgeous view of the swept wing and horizontal stabilizer

Reaching our cruising altitude of 40,000 ft after a very slow 30 minute climb, just passing Val-d’or, Quebec :canada:

Roughly 9 hours later, we’re on descent to Honolulu with lovely views of Moloka’i, Maui, Lanai, and off in the far distance the “Big Island” :desert_island:

Turning downwind for 8L with Pearal Harbour, HNL and downtown Honolulu all in sight off the wing :cityscape::ocean::sun:

Short Final

Safely parked at the gate :airplane:
