Sadly all NG model AA chrome 777 on the website are sold out. The ones that are still available on eBay either can’t ship to Germany or want +100€ for shipping

For those prices you can get the Zvezda B77W in 1/144 from Hannants in the UK, and purchase aftermarket decals from 26decals for the AA aircraft. You’d end up with spare money even.

Is zvezda as easy and good as revell?

I haven’t built airliners since I was young, but I read good things about Zvezda’s airliners (I.E warped parts and lots of flash, poor fit of the parts on Revell kits). You can also get their kit on the Revell boxing, which ought to be more readily available due to the war in Ukraine.

Based from my experience Revell has Worse plastic than Zvezda. For example, when sanding down putty you will have scratches on the plastic. I tried with water and it still didnt work. On the other hand Zvezdas plastic is very good and has very good quality. The only downside about Zvezda is that their plastic is gray so i would recommend buying an acrylic spray paint to apply a nice white base paint. Here is a good place to buy all zvezda kits @Sturmovik - https://www.aviationmegastore.com/en/?offset=100&sort=1&action=as
You can also buy decals to make an airline of your choice. You can try making an airliner soon. Tommorow i can post an airliner i made no a while ago

That depends on what sanding paper grade you use. Lower grades will scratch the surrounding areas, finer grits will polish the plastic and won’t sand down the filler.

You could be right, The last time i used a Revell kit, I didnt sand nor putty the model. Luckily the kit had a good fit and had no flash! I trust you since you seem like a scale modelling expert! Thank you for the advice.

I’d love to be an expert, but we never stop learning. I suggest you check PLASMO on YT, he’s a real expert and makes improvements to his models even with trashed plastic. Another suggestion would ne for you to join Model Makers on Reddit, plenty of good modellers there.

If you want to practise your sanding skills, grab an abandoned model, one you completed but haven’t painted because you aren’t proud of. Grab a coarse sanding paper, and then go up in the numbers. If you do it right, the scratches should be polished once you finish sanding.

Thank you, and you should start making airlines for example the A350-1000, I made it myself in the qatar livery if you can remember from the old topic. It does take time making airliners but Its a big model and very worth it! You can check out Zocker J or Babakin on youtube for some tips!

I picked up this antique wooden P-40 at Osh24. The cool thing is Google has never heard of the company and it looks like it was an early variant of the P-40 which makes me think it’s from WW2.

Thats a very diverse collection just like mine (also 14) you can start collecting models from Geminijets or Jc wings. I see you got the skymarks b777, my first model was from skymarks. They’re a good way to start off a diecast collection.

Probably not a model anyone here is particularly interested in, but I finally got my hands on the Aeroclassics Qantas A300 for a respectable price!

(I’ll stick to the traditional diecast forums for these sorts of models I reckon)
