MMMX need's urgent update 😭

Hi :sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile: I’m not sure if this kind of post is allowed, but on behalf of the Mexican community and also the entire IF community, I’d like to ask if there’s any editor interested in updating the MMMX airport. It’s been in bad condition for quite a while now — the taxiways and paths are all crooked, the buildings are somewhat deformed and not placed correctly on the pavement, there are objects placed in random spots, and several facades don’t make much sense. There are even jet bridges placed over the roads, etc…

Some of that I believe is normal, the taxi lines are easier to do strait that like this, so time was used for this, however the jet bridges and containers on the roof are most likely not supposed to be like that. If I remember correctly, there’s an ongoing project for this. I may be wrong.

Benito Juárez Airport was among the first 3D airports to be released, and the 2D layout is much older from the WED era. We’re aware that it will need a redo at some point, but that will depend on who decides to take it up for rework.

It’s not normal. My guess is that when the satellite images of the airport were taken, they were distorted. Currently, the lines appear straight on Google Maps, so I think that’s why the roads and taxiways look pretty warped."

As always, there’s no guarantee it will be done soon. And while I’m one of the team’s leaders, I cannot force editors to do specific airports. I have still relayed this post to them.

When the last big hubs that are currently missing 3D are added into the game, I can assure you the big hubs such as Mexico City which were released much earlier in the start of 3D buildings will be reworked to keep up with our always improving quality requirements, control, and assurance. Talking about old 3D airports…anyone want LAX to be updated?
