MLW Question

Is it ok for my plane to takeoff when the Flight Load text is orange which means I am above my MLW?

Yes, it is ok to takeoff above MLW. Max Landing Weight is the maximum weight an aircraft can land at, so it doesn’t restrict a takeoff

Yes! MLW = Maximum Landing Weight. Assuming your flight is a reasonable distance, you’ll burn fuel and your load will become lighter as you go. Just make sure your text isn’t red, because that means you are over MTOW (Maximum Takeoff Weight), which is a problem.

By definition you’re fine to take off but not to land.

Yes, but don’t take off with MTOW (Max Takeoff Weight)

Most heavy aircraft takeoff over their maximum landing weight. With long flights, aircraft burn a lot of fuel (the bulk of the weight of the aircraft), which is why all heavies land below their maximum landing weight.

So the answer to your question is yes, granted you burn all that fuel/weight before you land at your destination.
