Hello everyone,
While flying the VOR-A approach into RKPK (Gimhae Intl, Busan), I noticed that the approach light system is missing in Infinite Flight, although it’s clearly mentioned on the Jeppesen chart.
The procedure uses the KMH VOR (113.8) and follows a 046° final approach course to RWY 18L/R. The chart indicates:
“Approach Lights – Refer to Airport Chart”
In real life, this approach is supported by visual aids such as approach lighting systems (possibly SALS, MALSR, or similar) to assist pilots during the final descent especially since this is a non-precision, offset approach without a glide path.
However, in Infinite Flight:
• There are no visible approach lights during the final segment (from D7.0 to D3.0).
• This makes the final approach and visual transition at MDA (1700 ft) especially difficult at night or in low visibility.
• The lack of lighting may confuse pilots or create unrealistic approach experiences.
Suggestion:
I would kindly suggest that the Infinite Flight team considers implementing the correct approach lighting system for RKPK RWY 18L/R, based on real-world data, or at least basic visual aids (such as PAPI, VASI, or lead-in lights), especially for non-precision approaches like this.It would greatly enhance realism and safety for those flying into Busan using realistic procedures.
Thanks for the amazing work you all do and thank you for considering this!
