MSP, the airport serving Minneapolis/Saint Paul (AKA the “Twin Cities”) is widely heralded as a good airport. It’s clean, modern, airy, and well connected. Weirdly, one of the best things about this airport are the bathrooms. Each one is themed with a different attribute, if you will, of Minnesota (Lake Superior, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Cherry on the Spoon, etc). Even celebrities like Oprah have gotten in on the bathroom discussion.
In the past 8 years, MSP has won best airport in North America 7 times, being edged out once by Detroit.
The award giver, Airports Council International, is widely regarded as the premier organization for these awards, very prestigious.
