Dear all communities,
It is so wonderful posting my first topic of Learning Centre on IF Community Forum. I would like to a raise a question that would be so helpful for some beginners on IF Application.
[Learning Session No; 1]
Question; Could you please write down the Maximum Stall Speed during Final Aproaching Landing on IF of the following Aircrafts (knots)?
• A320 Family (A318 - A321)
• A330
• A340
• A380
• B737
• B747
• B777
• B787
Please look carefully at the specific correct answer by several users here.
Regards,
Ibraheem Alali

I’m sorry, I don’t understand.

You never want to fly AT stall speed on approach. Each aircraft has its own approach speed as well

he means in landing setup, full flaps and gear

Why would you want to stall the aircraft when landing? Why not just land at the aircafts correct speed?

so he knows a rough guide, add 10 knots to get rough landing speed and fine tune from there

To get a rough landing? I don’t understand why you would want a rough landing unless you want your butt to ache. You want a soft landing, increase the speed and pulling the nose up gives a softer landing.
nononono. Not a speed for a rough landing, but a rough meaning not precise speed, that is good for landinf

Oh right, ok… probably 120 knots is when I stall in the A320.

and i find a good landing is 130,

I normally land at 140 with the A320, I normally land at the end of the white tiles because I aim for a soft landing.

A maximum stall speed = Minimum Landing speed
If you went below max stall speed then you will get stalled for sure!
For the A320 family, the minimum landing speed is around like 140kts. Maintain speed until you reach the runway or when the GPWS calls out 300 and idle the trust which will bring your speed down to around 120 which is the ideal speed for touchdown. Most aircraft in if has the landing speed of 140 kts but their touchdown speed is a bit higher.

That also a great info you said about A320 Family!
Great having some wonderful information among all communities here!
Thank you my friend!

Google the aircrafts POH, then come back to us with the answers if this is a “Learning center”

Guys stop arguing, he is asking what is the highest speed at which an aircraft may stall at and which is the landing speed for the aircraft, people these days :/ .
Right and instead of having everyone else do the research I’m merely asking him to do it. People these day’s wanting everything done for them. 🙄

Lmao why so salty. Hes just asking for the communities opinion.
lol I’m not being salty. There is no opinion to give about a landing speed or a stall speed. It either is or isn’t. Encouraging someone to do a little research of their own, shouldn’t be frowned upon I wouldn’t think.
