Mini Summer 2024 Vacation Trip to Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Miami - Outbound 3: Los Angeles to Miami

Hello folks, here is my flight on American Airlines Flight 1637 LAX-MIA that @NonStopsAviation has been waiting for and thatโ€™s right, I flew to the ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 305 from Los Angeles on a red-eye flight. So basically, itโ€™s a flight where you fly from one city to another city, which is leaving particularly, the west coast late at night and you arrive early in the morning at the east coast where you lose three hours of sleep as you fly east through different time zones and then you literally wake up with the red-eye as you land in the east coast early in the morning the next day and thatโ€™s what I have done. So before I flew to Miami, I went plane spotting after the movies ๐ŸŽฅ ๐Ÿฟ. Now getting onto the flight talk, I hope you enjoy this red-eye transcontinental flight from LAX-MIA on AA1637.

American Airlines Flight 1637: Los Angeles to Miami ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž
Aircraft: Boeing 777-200
Origin: Los Angeles International Airport (KLAX)
Destination: Miami International Airport (KMIA)
Flight Time: 5hrs 4mins

Alrighty as the time has arrived to head to Miami, it was time for me to pack my suitcase ๐Ÿงณ before leaving the hotel ๐Ÿจ to go out to McDonalds before returning the car to the LAX Rental Car Center ๐Ÿš—. As I got to McDonalds, ๐Ÿ” ๐ŸŸ ๐Ÿฅค, it was already closed. So then I went to KFC across the street and they were open. So I ate something before heading to the LAX RCC to return the car. After that, took the LAX peoples mover ๐Ÿš† to Terminal 4 to checkin. As I got my boarding pass, I went through the security and then stopped by the Entertainment Weekly News to buy some snacks which is Flipz White Chocolate Covered Pretzels ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฅจ, a bottle of Lemonade and Mentos Gum before heading to Gate 41. And here I am at Gate 41 LAX airport as my plane is sitting here, ready to take us to the ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 305 Miami. So, letโ€™s get this red-eye transcontinental flight started.

After pushing back out of Gate 41 LAX airport, the AA Safety Video ๐Ÿ”ตโšช๏ธ๐Ÿ”ด was played, we started taxiing to RWY 25R for our departure out of LAX airport. Then the captain ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โœˆ๏ธ goes โ€œFlight Attendants, prepare for takeoffโ€ as we get near the beginning of RWY 25R

And then, we entered RWY 25R to line up before we began our takeoff roll out of LAX airport

And liftoff as we took off out of LAX airport and we are on our way to Miami ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ. Goodbye Los Angeles. What a great time I had in L.A. When I come back to LA again, I will explore more of LA and also do more plane spotting where Iโ€™ll get the chance to spot the B747 aka, the Queen of the Skies. But anyways, off to Miami. C ya next time LA.

Banking to our left 180 degrees heading east to Miami, flying over the ocean ๐ŸŒŠ a couple of minutes after we took off.

As we leveled off at FL370, I put on my AirPods ๐ŸŽง and listened to music ๐ŸŽถ and went to sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด. Then I was awaken by the cabin lights as snacks and beverages was being served. I got Biscoff Cookies ๐Ÿช and a cup of Apple Juice ๐Ÿงƒ along with my White Chocolate Covered Pretzels ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฅจ and my lemonade. After that, I went back to sleep ๐Ÿ’ค and listened to music ๐ŸŽถ. Then a couple of minutes to an hour later, I went to the lavatory to use the restroom. After that, went back to my seat and played with the IFE for a little while before getting some more sleep. Btw, we were flying over Arizona ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐ŸŒต in this photo.

Later on when I woke up, I chewed bubblegum as we began our descent as we got close to the west Florida coast line, by the Gulf of Mexico ๐ŸŒŠ. Here we are as we flew over the Big Cypress Wildlife Management Area, getting near MIA before banking to our left aiming for RWY 8L for landing at MIA with that beautiful sunrise ๐ŸŒ…

Good morning ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 305 as we were on short final RWY 8L at MIA airport before we touched down

And we just landed in MIA as we vacated RWY 8L, crossed RWY 8R before we taxied to our arrival gate D37. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Miami ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

And there we have it. Weโ€™ve arrived at MIA airport Gate D37. Time to deplane the aircraft, take this photo of my aircraft before heading to baggage claim ๐Ÿ›„ and then catching the MIA Peoples Mover to the Rental Car Center ๐Ÿš— and finally heading to Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Brickell-Port of Miami Hotel ๐Ÿจ for my one week vacation before heading back to St. Louis on Friday next week.

And there you go. Thatโ€™s what you call a red-eye flight. Hope you enjoyed this red-eye trip from LAX-MIA especially @NonStopsAviation. So, Iโ€™ll be going plane spotting in MIA and FLL on Sunday and I can do another one if I can on Wednesday before I head back to Missouri on Friday on Southwest Airlines via Denver. Anyways, stay tuned for that and see you in the skies.
