Well, when you’re a couple of decades behind with outdated hardware and therefore also software, the newest and “greatest” software issues can’t affect your company. It’s probably the same reason why the US government wasn’t too greatly affected (I literally still had to fax paperwork to the IRS a while ago).
Either that (which would make sense due to what we learned following the 2022 delays) or they use some other service for cybersecurity and weren’t affected by Crowdstrike (I’m not a computer person so I don’t know if they could’ve been using the latest Windows and avoid Crowdstrike… so IDRK…).
southwest uses a near ancient version of windows im pretty sure, just some quick googling told me that they use Windows 3.1, which is about 32 years old…
it honestly didn’t do much though… in the morning, I can vet that the transit apps were all messed up, along with the screens in the subway. They are never accurate soo 🤷
