Miami Air 737 Skids off Runway Thread

  1. Luckily this accident didn’t take people livings away.

  2. First I thought that it is similar to Cactus 1549 story 🛬💦💦💦👨🏻‍🦳

  3. Never heard about this airline 😏

  4. Boeing… I hope this won’t affect a lot on their reputation.

Looks like they had tailwind and very bad weather when landing.

I live in Jax, saw this aircraft on approach to KNIP while it went over my house, there was heavy lightning and rain in the area. I also have a family member who works for Miami air that is going up to investigate the incident.

It was a chartered flight and the passengers were navy seals. Guessing they just swam out to the shore 😂. What a coincidence

How does one access the liveatc.net archive?

But isn’t that the current frequency status?

No, the archive for the mp3 files expire at a certain date but you could for example go and listen to the frequency from 3 days ago at a specific time from that page. Just pick the correct frequency name, then a date and time. For example here’s KPHL Tower from May 1st at 0000Z-0030Z.

Where can I select the date and time? Or do I have to listen to it myself so that I can listen to it again for example the following day?

You select it on this page. There’s a calendar, feed dropdown and time dropdown. PM me if you have any more questions!

My aunt (who lives minutes from the base) says that there are numerous animals stuck in the cargo hold of the aircraft. Protests are being held near the base for that same reason. Let’s hope they’re saved in time 🤞 Boeing’s in a tough situation right now, let’s hope people don’t get spooked about the 737NG as well.

From what I’ve seen, but please correct me if I’m wrong, this was pilot or Environment error. Sadly, with all the stuff that’s happened with the Max, Boeing and the 737 will get more bad cred for this

As far as I’ve heard per sources close to the investigation, they are blaming the weather for this, heavy lightning and thunderstorms were in the area at time. Was literally watching that flight from Flightradar24 and with my two own eyes before it went into the clouds

Authorities are not certain if all of the pets on board survived though.

Confirmed they’re goners

Naahhhhhh this isn’t Boeing’s fault. It was operator error maybe or wet runway conditions.
