Mexican airline Mexicana de Aviacion has placed a firm order with Embraer for 20 E2 aircraft, expected to be delivered starting next year.
Under the control of Mexico’s Secretarial of National Defense (SEDENA), Mexicana de Aviación (Mexicana) is the second coming of the former national airline Mexicana, which ceased operations in August 2010. The revived airline was announced in early 2023, and after a few false starts, it eventually operated its first flight in December last year.
Cool to see, however news broke up almost a month ago. Quite old news but it’s cool to see the airline adquiring some efficient planes into it’s fleet.
By the way, you may wanna credit Simple Flying (or maybe Michael Doran, the author) for the news in this topic in question, especially if copying and pasting information without citing it or giving credit… 😬
Yes, I did take that quote! I thought it copy and pasted the link into the original post, but apparently I didn’t put it in. The credit is still on the “paste” button on my phone.
