MEA - Middle East Airlines Airbus A330-200

MEA - Middle East Airlines Airbus A330-200

Middle East Airlines (MEA)

Middle East Airlines is the national flag carrier of Lebanon and one of the most established airlines in the Middle East. Based at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY), MEA serves as a critical connector between the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the wider world. As a member of the SkyTeam alliance, MEA maintains a strong international presence and is known for its consistent long-haul operations despite operating from a relatively compact hub.

Airbus A330-200

The Airbus A330-200 forms the backbone of MEA’s widebody fleet and is central to its medium- and long-haul network. MEA operates the A332 on key routes from Beirut to major European cities such as Paris, London, Frankfurt, and Rome, as well as longer routes to Africa and the Gulf region. The aircraft’s range, efficiency, and payload capability make it ideal for Beirut’s geographic position, allowing MEA to operate reliable long-haul services with a right-sized widebody.

Livery Description

MEA’s A330-200 wears one of the most elegant and understated liveries in commercial aviation. The fuselage features a clean white base with minimalistic gold and black accents, giving the aircraft a premium and timeless appearance. The airline name is written in both English and Arabic along the forward fuselage, reinforcing MEA’s cultural identity. The tail showcases the iconic green cedar tree — a powerful national symbol of Lebanon — set against a dark teal background. The overall design is subtle, refined, and perfectly suited to a flagship widebody aircraft.

Why It’s Needed in Infinite Flight

The Middle East Airlines A330-200 would be a strong addition to Infinite Flight because:

  • Middle East realism: Adds a major Middle Eastern flag carrier that is currently underrepresented.
  • Authentic European and regional routes: Enables realistic operations between BEY and Europe, Africa, and the Gulf.
  • Iconic A330 operator: MEA is one of the longest-standing A330-200 operators in the region.
  • Distinctive livery: The cedar tail and bilingual titles would add visual diversity and authenticity in multiplayer.
Overall, the MEA A330-200 would enhance regional balance, long-haul realism, and visual variety in Infinite Flight, making it a valuable addition to the A330 lineup.

Voted! We need this livery in the sim, especially now that MEA retired its A321-200s.

Why not create one for the MEA A330NEO version? The first one (out of 4) is expected to be delivered this spring. Would be really cool to have this in the simulator instead of the A330-200.

Here are two pictures of the very first MEA A330NEO at the paint hangar.
