I’m Midflight and i forgot to check the MLW of the MD-11, Currently at 46% Load with 70,000kg and still above MLW, 1 hour of flight to go, anyone knows the MLW and if i need to fuel dump?
Since you still have an hour left in your flight, and are less than half full, I don’t think you will need to fuel dump. Wikipedia says the MLW of the MD-11 is over 100,000kgs.
Yes, thats the problem, Wikipedia and Infinite flight figures vary greatly, im still in Amber despite being at 68,000kg, which means im still above MLW on infinite flight data
The MLW of the MD11 is at 43% - you are around 3-4t or so above it rn.
You should be fine with still an hour of flying time to go.
Thank you very much
You can also check your fuel remaining and your ETE, both of which can be found in your info bar at the bottom. As long as you monitor your fuel dump so that your fuel remaining doesn’t fall below your ETE, you will be fine. Also since you use less fuel than the sum calculates when descending, there is some grace with the numbers
Hi, I don’t know if you still need this, but I tabulated all aircraft MLW & MTOW in Infinite Flight. The MLW for MD11 is 200,000kg (43.34%).
