Fun Fact: Due to the MD-80 being a stretched DC-9 aircraft, it was originally named the DC-9-80. But due to the merger between Douglas and the McDonnell Corporation, and the need to significant the differences with the DC-9, it was named the MD-80 instead.
Here’s a photo of the prototype MD-80 in Douglas colors, it would be awesome to see this livery in IF!
