Wilco, usually I would handle like 5 flights, tonight is busy, hah.
If ATC is open at KLAX or EGLL in the TS then grade 2s will come and ruin your day lol
Well, it’s better to train with hard situation sometimes! But yes, sometimes its a nightmare in EGLL
Yeah, I was trying to see how you would react if 2 planes landed at the same time, so that you need to tell them to exit. (At the same time)
I could see you pushing me couple of times, love it.
It’s always good to give people a little bit of a challenge
Transition: just a reminder that the formula for transitions is the airport altitude + 2500ft, rounded up to the nearest 500ft. In this case, LAX has an airport altitude of 125ft, so the formula would be as follows:
125 + 2500 = 2750, rounded to 3000ft
Inbound pattern work: good job giving me the correct instructions to go into right downwind for 24R.
Landing clearance: you gave me the first two landing clearances a bit on the later side. No need to wait so long, as you can just be creating extra work for yourself later if the airport is busy.
Pattern instruction in landing clearance: before I requested a runway change, you gave me landing clearance for 24R, but also assigned me a pattern direction. Had I been staying on 24R, this pattern direction wouldn’t have been necessary, as you already instructed me the first time.
Runway change: good job instructing an entry to right downwind for 25L - this was the correct command.
Exit runway: good timing with this as well.
Other notes: for all of your future sessions, please select an airport that won’t have much inbound traffic, to ensure that you will have pilots that are actually there to train you, and not just a bunch of Training Server goofballs. Preferably these airports will have two parallel runways, not more. This makes it easier to train you on.
Overall, not a bad session today! You still gotta master the transition altitudes and a couple of other things, but I liked what I saw. I know last report I said I’d try to work on inbounds with a preset flight plan, but I didn’t do that today, so I’ll see about trying that next session. I don’t know if @Cwaker only joined this session this one time, or if he’s joining your ping list, but if we can both cooperate to train you, we’ll be able to have some more effective teachings (ground conflicts, sequencing, etc.)
Resource(s) to check out
Thanks for having me again today, and I look forward to continuing this training again soon! As always, if you have any questions for me, I’d be more than happy to answer them or at least point you in the direction of an answer
Wdym lol, which time(s)?
in that last pattern you were at 3000-4000ft MSL
Sir, as last time, thank you so much for your detailed analysis. I don’t know if IFATC asks you to do them, but they help me so much. Really appreciate your time and efforts to put this together. Yes, for next time I will pick a nice and remote airport, lol
While I am a part of IFATC, I’m not training them on their behalf - I’m doing it to help a fellow community member who’s following in similar footsteps to me in an endeavor that I pursued
Idk I was half paying attention to the patterns cuz there was stuff going on in my house at the time
What time are you trying to control today @Maxim.k42?
I will have a training session on IFATC server at 1800z and then I will be controlling something on TS around 2300z. After this I will be gone for 2 weeks as going on holidays. @Waxyscorpion308
Okay well then I’ll see about joining then!
Maybe coordinate with @Walter (my trainer) and you can join our IFATCS at 1800z
Perhaps I will…
