Very bold pilots I should say :)

Sage advise! The first pilot was obviously bold. 😂 The others seemed to have the right idea. That’s a tough enough job, then to try to do it with 54 knot winds on top of it all. Bravo Zulu. 👍🏻

No these guy are gonna be Old Pilots they made the right decision under stress and aborted the landing within the safety margin the DS (Decision Height). Bold Pilots go for it! They and their dead Pax’s are statistics.

I now understand. The old pilots made the right decision :)

Those go around reminds me of KLM’s crosswind landing video somehow

Had they landed, They would have to do the same thing like KLM’s pilot did if they want to land safely in the ground

What was that comment at the end? “…Diverted and landed an hour later?”

Gives new meaning to proper fuel management!

Smart move to divert and smart move to have enough fuel to divert.

That was an incredibly jerky landing!

That first landing was the only landing that actually gptouched the ground lol. Good job on the other pilots for realizing there was no chance they could land safely. Some people might bash the pilots for diverting and causing issues for the passengers, but better safe than dead.

Those A320s were really buffeted in those winds! Icelandair didn’t even have a go.

Lucky for us the IF runways are as flat as a pancake.
Can’t believe the hills and lows in some of these on the clip!
