MaxSez: The Steam Gage demonstrated in this vid is old school. In IF we use the Compass Rose Calorimeter Needle plus the HUD’s Volosity Vector/Boresight & ?. A 3* Glide slope is common. (Because of terrain and other natural factors in the RW always check the approplrate Plate for the ILS Glides Slope angle of attach)
I find it very exciting when I intercept the ILS and follow the glidescope pretty much til landing. It adds to my realism experience. Also the feeling of being vectored so accurately to the ILS is a good feeling as well.
