MaxFacts: Sullenburger on Pilot/Controller Relationships

MaxSez: USA Today had a great Feature Story (Five Myths about ATC) recently by the Hero of the Hudson, I consider him an authority on ATC from a Pilots perspective; here some words of wisdom from a legon that we all need to head:
" Sully says that “a safe landing is collaboration between pilots and air traffic control, and each one has a part to play in the interaction. It’s an aerial ballet that we do. But the pilot is the final authority and responsible for the safety and control of the aircraft.” Bottom line folk: “Unable” and “Correction” are not fighting words.

Something us IFATC were told and I think this applies perfectly Atc are their to serve the pilot not the other way around
