I don’t like it either… during testing with hardly any landings but 100-200 additional hours flying I’ve gone from grade 5 to grade 3. I’m going to have to make to tng’s to keep grade 3! Lol

well stated. The current grading system is not about skill but about daily usage and I completely feel that is wrong.

That’s precisely the point. If you HAVE to do tng’s in order to maintain the grade, it just further proves that there’s a major issue with the grading system. All skill points should be able to be accumulated through regular long distance flights (especially with global coming out), with even having some days off.
There are many fixes to this and modifications that can be made to the current system. Won’t be getting into that in this post though.
Your statement shows that there is an urgent need for a fix. I wish that others too make a quick little post to show the importance of this issue.

MaxSez: Another overnight auto loss of 5+ landing points and a grade loss.
I went from Grade 5 to Grade 3 in a week +. I flew long legs every day in a Dash and 208 this last week. I’ll be “Darned” if I’ll spend boreing hours doing T&G’s just to retain access I paid for. Next step is obvious, a trip to Siberia on the Kiddie Server. Grades mean nothing to me. I have honest hours in the millions. The Punitive Grading System is patently absurd! A Hot Fix is apparent & appropriate forthwith!

TBH this is why I don’t bust a gut to go higher than a grade 3. As long as I can access the Expert server so that I can fly with fellow virtual pilots who take things a little bit more serious as a sim rather than a game that is all that I aim for.

No problem! I love that you made a whole topic about this because it is really a problem. I’ve been playing Infinite Flight since 2014 and when Live was introduced, it took a long time before anyone got to Grade 5. I’ve hit Grade 3 many times but since I only got monthly then, I lost it while waiting for me to get enough pocket money again. Now I do more chores at home and help out to get my Live+ every year. I’m on my second Live+ subscription and I am only on Grade 3. I cannot play often because I have school most of the time. I do think they need to do something about this.

I don’t have any issues keeping Grade 5. Occasionally I have to do some touch and goes for like 5minutes but that’s about it. Seemed really hard back when I was Grade 4 but now it’s a walk in the park 😎
