Incident: Silver SF34 at Key West on Jun 4th 2017, engine trouble

A Silver Airways Saab 340B, registration N435XJ performing flight 3M-82 from Key West,FL to Tampa,FL (USA) with 28 passengers and 3 crew, was in the initial climb out of Key West when the crew reported engine trouble and diverted to Key West’s Naval Air Station, 4nm east of Key West Airport, for a safe landing.

Key West Airport reported the passengers were taken back to Key West Airport and rebooked onto other flights.

What happened to the Aeromexico 737? It just says ā€œit wasn’t love at first stingā€

I always wanted to go there. Thanks for the follow up.

@William_Chin… Here’s the incident report.

Incident: Aeromexico B738 enroute on Jun 5th 2017, it wasn’t ā€œlove at first stingā€

An Aeromexico Boeing 737-800, registration XA-AMS performing flight AM-682 from Mexico City (Mexico) to Chicago O’Hare,IL (USA), was enroute about 2 hours prior to estimated arrival in Chicago when a passenger was stung into the elbow by a scorpion. The passenger didn’t report his mishap until after landing. The aircraft continued to Chicago for a safe landing. Airport medical staff examined the passenger who did not show any adverse reaction to the sting and refused further medical treatment.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 110 minutes, then departed for the return flight.
(Note: All scorpions sting, most are non lethal. Regards, Max

@NismoKits. NAS Key West (KEYW) is know in the aviation community as ā€œBoca Chicaā€ or just ā€œBocaā€. Surprised they went to Boca, rather than KEYW
Key West International. Must have been a safety of flight extremely serious situation. Regards, Max

Hmm, that would certainly make an interesting story.

Flying in a Venezuelan airline is a guillotine. Yikes, never doing that again.

@Blizzard… ya probably know this little incident bird it’s a like a low slung Dash.
The craft used an aluminum boarding ladder built into the door with only a few steps. On this day Cork had rain and fog. The Ladder was slick as snoot.
The older woman slipped and fell hard. They took her off by ambulance on a backboard after a 70 minute wait. Great Slip & Fall tort Case! Regards, Max
