Two planes clipped wing tips at Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday, an FAA spokesperson said. There were no reports of injuries.
A Lufthansa Airbus A340 and United Airlines Flight 88 Boeing B777 clipped right wing tips at 5:23 p.m.
The United flight from Beijing to Newark was taxiing in the runway after landing when it touched a Lufthansa plane. Both planes were towed to their respective gates, according to the FAA spokesperson. (Various)
United 88 âOh dear, we seem to have bumped our ugly, god-awfully old and terrible aircraft into this nice, relatively new, clean LH A340.â
LH A340" Yes, sir it appears you have" Sees damage âHOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO OUR PLANE!!!â
The A340-600 aircraft are actually newer then unitedâs 20 year old B777 aircraft not to mention the -600 variant came out nearly ten years after the -200ER. You are all misinterpreting and trying to make it Boeing vs Airbus
Not in the least but when you get post that sound childish like âold cruddy POS Boeingâ vs âOh holy untainted Airbusâ even as a joke it is bound to spark some flames.
Itâs just a joke though as you could say that you got hit in your new car by a old shabby banger car just because itâs older. Itâs merely a joke donât think itâs anything but that.
