MAX Instruments Reused for 787

From the IF Reddit, 118.6 is Laura.

Sounds like good news to me.

Edit: Reddit - Dive into anything

Edit 2: This isn’t exactly confirming a a partial or full rework of the 787, rather saying that when the 787 arrives, it’s gonna be easier to make the instruments. Obv open to interpretation but this is the most obvious way to take it.

There’s an IF Reddit community? I’ll join!

Also, B787 live cockpit in the foreseeable future! Yay!

Idt that’s what she meant, rather that when the 787 gets reworked, it’s gonna be a bit easier.

It’s the reason why the A350’s screens were slightly reworked (OIS isn’t inop. anymore) when the A380 came out.

Instruments are reused (as they are IRL) on different aircraft.

I hope along with live instruments for the 787 the physics also get an update

I see you’re ready for Spooktober. To not have the comment flagged, why would the 787 need a physics update?

Did you ever fly the 787?

The 787 is not getting any type of rework. Only the instruments made on the MAX can be used once the 787 is reworked.

Interesting…. 🧐

I did, but I’m not an IRL pilot, so I trust the work done by the devs whenever they release a new aircraft.

Id rather have a full 787 rework

I think the point of this conversation on Reddit is to show that when the 787 gets a rework, the instruments from the Max will be reconfigured for the 787

I mean all people care about is to have a 787 rework come as soon as possible. Though having to use the 737 MAX instruments as a base will speed up if/when it gets reworked
