MaxSez: I’ve read a lot of Topic on this Forum, only a few have made me want to vomit! I could not believe me eye when I stumbled on the "Questions on XP “GRINDING”. Here’s my take on that impure thought and the multiple Supportive Commenters who gave aid and encouragement to the do’er;
“True Aviator/Gammers are moral men! The don’t abide cheaters, liars, charlatans or phonies. Grinding is Cheating! … Because of Grinding , n my opinion the only way to get on the Leader Board now is by Grinding. Grinder numbers are a FRAUD and indicate one’s lack of an honorable center & low self esteem. It had to be said, take it or leave it, the truth hurts!” End

Do long flights they gain xp and are realistic. That’s what I’ve done I’ve got just over 70,000 xp now and I enjoyed every bit of it instead of boring myself to death doing touch and goes.

You don’t need to even do touch and goes. Taking off from A and landing at B, with ATC and others would make it more enjoyable. You also get to practice your landing skills.

It’s a game, people can do what they want on it. Also, some people may want to get XP so they can play on servers, if they have enough experience before the new XP change was introduced.
If people want to fly like that, they can. It’s not your place to tell people what they can do in a game that they paid for.

I don’t do touch and goes for the XP. They are great fun, especially extreamly tight patterns. I’ll always prefer a proper long haul flight at a decent altitude.

It’s not cheating. How is doing a long haul flight cheating? As the regions are pretty small in IF,mother only reason to do long haul is dumping your Cessna at a low speed. It’s not your place to tell people what they can and can’t do in a virtual flight simulator.
PS: I never broke a rule on expert. I understand the atc, and was never told off or told to follow instructions in any way.

He is referring to those who set up and leave a C172 or something going through a region. Not those who fly for a couple hours round one.

Where you leave your iPad on for many hours flying in a Cessna over Chicago or something going very slowly. Then, you get hours of flight time and get quite a bit of XP.

Doing touch and goes always gets you XP faster, but some people prefer to leave their iPad on overnight and go on with life without doing anything on the app. Some people call it cheating, but I’m not going to state my opinion because I don’t want to cause any more drama.

I could not agree more, but even mods are recommending t and g’s to get the required 50kxp for ‘expert’.
I have had this game well before live came out and have been playing it all wrong by doing real flights and interacting with atc it would seem. And spending too much time in solo when I should have been flying badly around a deserted airport hopping about gaining XP.
And even though I agree with you unfortunately I will now be factory farming XP so I can play on the ‘expert’ again.
Where is the quality in this? I’ve been playing properly and abiding by the rules. I got it wrong.
Apparently the new XP rating for ‘expert’ is to gain quality over quantity of pilots. Really?
And now I’m learning about XP grinding! That’s much more economical with my time.
Think it’s time for a rethink on XP, it’s fast becoming irrelevant.

Maybe instead of upping the XP they should have upped the amount of landings you need.
He is talking about people leaving their iPad on flying for hours and them therefore gaining XP for doing nothing, touch and go’s are normal to gain XP and most of us do it anyway

That just encourages people to do T and G’s until they hit the target. No quality necessary.
It definitely needs a real solution.
