The skies over Southern California keep changing, not only have the airways changed and some airports are on the way to closing, but the terminals within them are changing also.
According to the news and this article, Delta will be the largest carrier affected, out of a total of 21 airlines.
These changes are set to take effect overnight mid May.
I feel like KLAX that morning will be the world’s biggest fitness center as flocks of people run between terminals when they realize they’re in the wrong one.
I smell a 2017 veraion if “Home Alone” lol I keep thinking if that one really tired pilot that’s just landed from a long flight and starts taxiing to an old gate .
The article made it sound as if they would do the change overnight and fast. So who knows how it will pan out and if travelers will feel the move(I’m sure)
I think I’ll avoid flying into lax for a while after this move to keep from being caught up in the following confusion haha. Man could you imagine getting to the airport and trying to find not what gate you are but even what terminal you are…
@Alan_Perez Delta is going to redo T2 and make a new T3, with an observation deck and connectors to TBIT and T2. This is also slows them to share a terminal with Virgin Atlantic, Aeromexico, and WestJet, there partners. There is another article by the Los Angeles Times on this, more in detail.
@SkyHighGuys They said the move is only over 5 days, so it shouldn’t be too much of a bigger issue. LAX is already crazy, however, so its best to avoid it all together.
