March ARB Museum + Spotting @ KRIV

Heyo all, after finally deciding to edit more of my shots from my week trip to SoCal, I’m happy to share my KRIV (March ARB) shots. I coincidentally met a few friends who were also spotting that I knew from Nellis AFB’s Red Flag events. March has a lot to offer with their museum and with the occasional rare charters.

This time around, I got a chance to see the Omega Tanker KC-707 return after a little refueling sortie over the Pacific. There were also four F-35’s I had captured takeoff (one in actual good quality).

An F-35C Lightning II from VMFA-314 (Black Knights). They’re the first Marine Corps squadron to operate the F-35C!

An SR-71 Blackbird chillin in the main museum hanger (with a cub menacingly staring it down in the background).

hah. puddle.

A YF-14 from the VF-1 Wolfpack. It’s the 11th of 12 F-14 testbeds built.

My favorite historical fighter jet, the F-4 Phantom II. I’m sorta desperate to see an F-4EJ (JASDF variant), hopefully I can find one when I return to Japan later this year.

A near 70 year old C-110G with a dope RCAF livery.

dollar store b-52.

Prime Air operates quite a few flight into March ARB daily, here’s one of their B738BCF’s rolling down the runway.

One of 4 in the lineup of MiG’s.

Oh, thanks for letting me know that “photos of a lineup of MiGs at KRIV” are prohibited here.
