Map connect is not working for its says it’s connected but if I play in my iPad nothing happens in me laptop screen. I am not using a joystick and if map connect works I will buy a Thrustmaster joystick
I’m not quite sure what this means. But without a joystick, Map Connect doesn’t serve much purpose.
The way it works is: connect your joystick to your Mac or Windows computer, run Map Connect to connect to IF and send actions on the joystick to IF over the network. You can also use Map Connect to map keyboard keys on your computer to send as commands to IF, but the primary purpose is to send actions from the joystick to IF.
Without a joystick, other than seeing that Map Connect is connected to IF, you won’t see anything in Map Connect when flying on your iPad.
In answer to your question about an otg adapter – no: iPads and iPhones don’t allow the connection of joysticks by USB and only support a limited number of bluetooth gamepad controllers.
This is why applications like Map Connect exist: to use your computer to relay commands from the joystick to Infinite Flight over your local network.
I believe it should work with any USB device/controller that presents itself as a joystick to the computer. You should check with developers of Map Connect. Try posting the question in the main Map Connect thread:
