Good day all of you awesome people! I hope you’re having an amazing day so far!
I’ve gotten around to posting another spotting topic. If you haven’t seen my last one, go check it out: A New Spotting Location
Props to you if you get the reference to the title.
Anyway I went spotting twice since the last topic, but this topic will only be about the 2nd spotting session, which was on the 17th of July.
As always, these shots are edited. But this time, a bit more than usual.
Basic information:
- Landing runway: 01
- Departing runway: 07L and 07R
- Camera: Fujifilm X-T2
- Lens: Fujifilm XF 100-400mm
And now to the most important part, the photos!
To start off with, we got this Lufthansa Bombardier CRJ-900 (D-ACKH) lifting off from runway 07R bound for Munich Airport (MUC/EDDM).
A few minutes later, we got to see this RwandAir Airbus A330-300 (9XR-WP) blasting off towards Heathrow Airport (LHR-EGLL).
Not too long after, this beautiful Air Canada Boeing 787-9 (C-FNOG) in the gorgeous new livery rotated off of runway 07R, bound for Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL/CYUL).
After a while, we got to see one of many special liveries that day. This Brussels Airlines Airbus A320 (OO-SNE) departing to Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE/LFMN) being one of them.
Quite a while later, we got to see another Dreamliner departure, this time a United Airlines Boeing 787-9 (N24980) in the beautiful new livery departing towards O’Hare International Airport (ORD/KORD).
Much later, we got to see this Brussels Airlines Airbus A330-300 (OO-SFX), which is the exact one that got added to the reworked A330, departing to N’djili Airport (FIH/FZAA).
After some more time passed, we got to see this TUI Airlines Belgium Boeing 737 MAX 8 (OO-TMA) blasting off of the runway towards César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport (ACE/GCRR).
After that we got quite a nice sight, a double 757 shot. In the foreground we see this Icelandair Boeing 757-200 (TF-FIK) departing towards Keflavík Airport (KEF/BIKF) with a mighty roar. These are sadly becoming more rare since I’ve seen the MAX 8 and MAX 9 doing this route many times as well.
In the background we have an ECAir Boeing 757-200 (HB-JJE) which has been sitting in that exact spot for almost six years. Sadly it’s unlikely to fly again since it hasn’t been maintained, is missing an engine and apparently there are even bird nests in it.
A while later we got treated to this beautiful Swiss Bombardier CS300 (HB-JCM) blasting off of the runway, bound for Zurich Airport (ZRH/LSZH).
And last but certainly not least, this Belgian Police MD Helicopters MD-902 Explorer (G-17) flew right over our heads (and the runway), after an aircraft had just departed.
And that’s it! Let me know what you think of the new (and improved ?) editing style, and also let me know if you’d like a part 2 of this spotting session (I have many more shots).
Anyway I hope you liked the pictures, if you have some feedback I’d love to hear it and let me know what you thought of them.
