Hey IFC,
A few minutes ago I tried to fly from YSSY to YWOL in an A330. On the ground, at YSSY everything was fine, took off like normal and switched on the A/P.
A few minutes later I checked my flight and it was going crazy with turbulence. I go on final to YWOL and had to use the APPR. Upon final, I decided I wouldn’t be able to land so I went around and the winds picked up significantly before I ended the flight.
In the end, the winds were between 80kts and 110kts which for flying around YSSY is a wind record.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I’m aware people were having problems with the weather yesterday.

Yup. Just took off from TIST for a group flight and was hit with 150 knot winds in the TBM. Reached up to 185. Was fun!

I experienced something similar, I was on final in MMUN and winds were about 150 kts so I died 😬

Yes I just took off from KVNY, major turbulence and an uncontrollable aircraft (flying the Tbm-930) winds quickly shot up to 50-60 knots and windy it says winds don’t reach that speed until FL300 the highest I went was 7000 before I quit the flight.

Yeah just checked, it says 8kts for YWOL which is about 74 - 102kts lower than experienced.
You can’t go around in this weather! I’ll post a YT vid soon.

What do you mean? Full throttle and pitch up. I was doing a go around in 105kts winds.
I had major turbulence when I was flying today
I would like to put this on the support thread but it is closed. I was at 100kts tailwind at FL090 over New York just now. It was 40kts at FL100

I don’t think this needs support, I don’t think it’s anything wrong with my device since people were and are having weather problems today and yesterday.
I just departed from VTBS. I experienced some huge turbulence and almost touched the 80kts winds below 10000. I’m currently flying an a330. Above 10000 the winds slightly decreased to an acceptable velocity. Seems to be a bit strange…

Yes!! The weather is back to normal for me! There’s no more winds aloft or whatevs and everything is back!😁😁
Can I see some screenshots please, I don’t have a subscription currently.
I’m gonna re-fly the same route and check if it’s fixed at Sydney, Australia as well.

I tried but I didn’t record the wind and now the replay is say 0 knots but at stages it when up to 110kts!

Yeah I basically crash landed at KDEN ten minutes ago because of severe turbulence and a sudden change of wind direction on short final. Landed at 195kts. But everyone got to the gate ok

The weather is fixed for me, I’m two hours west of Perth over the Indian Ocean en route to London. Winds are around 40 kts
And the wind alofts were connected which was weird
