And not only advance controllers because then you have the same problem as now
Most come a New group like IFSM
@Carson… Who does what & how is not your or my problem. It’s an FDS problem! I view it as part & parcel of the ATC node. There is a well organized ATC establishment suited and organized perfectly to solve the Playground problem. We should just sit back and watch the professionals strut there stuff.
Sorry then I misunderstood. Why can’t advanced ATCs do this; be the “Sky moderators”. Even though I’m not allowed to control on the playground anymore if I were to break the rules I would have the ability to ghost on the playground.
Ehm the advance ATC doesn’t have time enogh
And why they don’t do it now then, and there are not so much advance controllers
I suppose you’re right, But I wouldn’t mind monitoring the playground when the advanced server isn’t busy.

Aren’t these ideas very similar?
Assemble the right kind of people on the team and there shouldn’t be a problem with breaking the rules.
No. We don’t need flying police. We need trustworthy controllers moderating the behavior of knuckleheads.
@Carson… The “Air Patrol” concept died at birth. We don’t need another elite group toeing around making arbitrary decision. One group f Nazi is enough!
Maxmustang, your initiative and ideas are appreciated but what you’re suggesting will never work. Have you seen the posts where a playground controller spams over and over on guard or just trolls users? What about the pilots who just want to troll others? Nothing would stop them from hopping on as a controller, preventing every user from making it to the runway to even depart, as they send them back to parking over and over.
Your concern is great, but I believe you’re trying to make the playground more than what it is. It is a playground. A place where users can learn the ropes, understand the air traffic system, and figure out how to operate as a responsible pilot. For this reason, ATC Management… Myself, does not govern what occurs on the playground for ATC. The requirements and expectations to become an advanced controller are outlined clearly, putting the ball in a users court if they wish to take it seriously and do the work to learn and get added.
I do look forward to working with the developers to rework the advanced server requirements to give serious users a place where they can have an uninterrupted experience, making it as realistic as possible.
@Tyler_Shelton. “Max Sez’s”; Mr. Shelton me thinks you protest to much. Ya know if it barks like a dog etc. Who best to control the madness on the Playground but a Controller? What say you?
Completely agree with you Tyler, but I think they mean a special team that can moderate the playground. Not everyone would be able to send back to parking just the people on the team. At least that’s what @Chancho told me he meant.
@Carson… “Max Sends”. See’s your tail wagging Mr. Carson. What say you to a solution?
How do you moderate a group of controllers to ensure they don’t abuse the power, actually know what they’re doing, and maintain some sort of order? You create an advanced server where controllers must pass a test and are held accountable when they ghost users. We have that.
The goal of the playground is to create a scenario where pilots and ATC can practice. Not know what you’re doing is one thing and does not cause many problems. However people who purposely sit in the runway and don’t move are what we’re trying to stop.
I feel the first step in the right direction is to increase the accessibility of the report button. This should be a last resort
@Tyler_Shelton… Max Sez’s, you’ve done a great job with the advanced, kudos, Mr. Shelton. The Key to correcting the Playground problem is similar to the problem faced by the airline pioneers as the sky’s got crowded. The establishment of an encompassing governing body. We call it the FAA today.
IF has a semi-structure in place which could ezly correct the currant disruptive playground situation, Your ATC Training Establishment. All I’m saying is the shoe fits, wear it. Step up or pass the buck…
Do you think pilots are reporting these users enough?
I am very familiar with the FAA and would love to see an IFAA someday. If we are enforcing the same rules on the playground and advanced, then why have two servers?
I really am trying to understand. I see users call for order, but continue to fly on the playground, knowing they can find order and knowledgable controllers on the advanced server. What is keeping users on the playground that seek realism and maturity?
