Welp, here I am again, creating another Chinese A320neo request! Featuring today is the Lucky Air A320neo!
Lucky Air is a Chinese low-cost airline based out of Kunming Changshui International Airport, with most of their routes originating from Yunnan, China. The airline is a subsidiary of the HNA Group which also contains Hainan Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines as subsidiaries. The airline is also part of the U-FLY Alliance, a lesser known airline alliance of Chinese Airlines including West Air and Urumqi Air, as well as Eastar Jet, a South Korean low cost airline.
The airline has a rather extensive fleet compared to other smaller Chinese airlines, with a fleet of 49 aircraft consisting of the A320ceo, A320neo, A330-300, 737 NG aircraft and 737-8 Maxes. They currently fly to 4 international destinations as of April 2025 to Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.
In the spotlight of the A320neo, they fly to 2 out of the 4 international flights, going to Hai Phong in Vietnam and Manado in Indonesia from their bases in Yunnan. Lucky Air currently operates a fleet of 6 A320neos, with deliveries dating back to 2018, following until April 2019.
Why do we want this? Well first of all, who doesn’t want a British Airways rip-off added to the game? Jokes aside, the livery is a very colourful vibrant mix of red and yellow which matches together really good! Secondly, since their base is in Yunnan, this plane can open a ton of scenic mountainous flights across Southwestern China, especially with the Himalaya mountains covering a big portion of the province! Also, we need more Chinese airlines in IF.
