Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, i’m on a flight with a B747-8, from IAH to LUX , a 9H flight, headwind of 17knts throttle at 67%. I putted fuel for 13H knowing that the 747 has a problem with fuel consumption. However, i’m at 8H after 30min of fiying and it’s descending like 1000kg per 2min and more. My weight was correct , just above the green . Any explanation ?

As you’ve said above the B748 does has a fuel problem. According to some players if you set the flaps to flaps 10 it’ll aid fuel efficiency (or maybe I’m getting mixed up with the A388 if so I’m sorry). At this point I’m avoiding flying the 747 family.
The 747-8i’s fuel flow is wicked. Set your flaps to 10° with the hope to make it. You will then get a much more realistic fuel flow.

That’s bold flying into a FedEx hub 😂. Maybe transfer the cargo to a FedEx B777F and give the contract to them to fly it to LUX.
