LOT Polish Airlines announces new route to Dulles

LOT will begin flying to Washington Dulles (IAD/KIAD) from Warsaw, Poland (WAW/EPWA) on June 2nd, 2020. It will be operated on one of their Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners. It will operate 3X weekly departing WAW and arriving at IAD on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It will depart IAD on those days and arrive the next day into WAW.

LOT is definitely capitalizing on a growing market in Poland, especially in regard to TATL flights. They recently announced a new route to SFO as well. Both SFO and IAD are United hubs, and both LOT and United are in Star Alliance.

Here’s a TPG article on it:

It’s very exciting! They are one of the fastest growing airlines

Ugh, I wish they would add SJC service

But congrats for IAD (@anon57683537)

Poland to U.S. is gonna be crazy next year.

WAW-SFO/IAD, I believe an increase from KRK to a few routes, and AA entering Poland for the first time with ORD-KRK.

IAD sees quite the increase in traffic and routes. Nice to see Star Alliance’s presence expanding at the airport!
