Hello again! Welcome aboard this trip report in Delta first class. I’ve always wanted to, but never have been able to, visit Nashville in real life, and wanted to give this route a go! I’ve also thought it was cool seeing it leave from the TBIT, and thats where we start off today!

Hello again and welcome to the Tom Bradley Int’l Terminal! After breezing through security thanks to TSA Pre-Check, I began the long walk up to the northern side of the terminal, passing numerous beautiful planes, including three A380s, from Korean, Asiana, and BA! We arrived at the gate to see N822DN, our 12-year-old 737-900ER pulling into the gate.
After a quick boarding process, were seated in seat 5A, the last row in delta’s First Class cabin. These seats are showing their age, with creases and wear everywhere, but comfortable none the less. Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents, this is your captain speaking, welcome aboard delta airlines! I hope you’re settling in nicely, the computer’s showing a 3 hour and 30 minute flight over to Nashville today, with some light turbulence over New Mexico. Now, please direct your attention to your screens for this short safety briefing.
A nice smooth takeoff, passing a rare-ish Breeze A220-300 on rotation! There’s an aircraft just out of frame ahead of us, an American E175 headed to Omaha.

We’ve leveled off at cruise, FL370. The F/As just came through the cabin with our food, and my choice was the Shack burger! I really enjoyed it, and it tasted just as good as does on the ground. With that out of the way, I decided to shut my window shade and get some rest until decent.
I’ve woken up over eastern Tennessee, with nothing else but the SWA Tennessee One Livery headed in the opposite direction to LA way out in the distance! We’re somewhere in the range of 28,000ft MSL as of when this was taken.
Turning final into the Music City, feels like we’re on a visual approach today. We got to see some good flight spoiler action on the way in!
And a very smooth touchdown onto runway 2L. Nashville’s got some pretty nice action happening over on the cargo ramp, with what looks to be a Learjet, converted to a cargo carrier!
Shutting down the engines at the gate. I was super pleased with this flight up in first class today, and even got the 737-900 trading card from the captain!
