I’m looking for a recording app that has the ability to only record the game sound.

You can record your device with a screen recorder and convert it into a mp3, making it a audio recording ;)

Otherwise, I’m not really sure of one that records audio only.

Seconded. If you’re looking for audio optimisation post-recording, would suggest running it through a DAW eg Pro Tools

If you have an iOS device it should have an integrated screen-record feature.

I think he means one which records the internal audio, not the external. Not only audio without video
