Hi, will my iPad Pro (2017) support a 16 hour flight? I tried a 16 hour flight last night but the app crashed with only 3 hours left (Which made me upset). I wanted to try again tonight but didn’t want to waste my time. Thanks

More then likely not… Unfortunately 2017 devices are on the lower end when all their components are brought together, for something like IF, even with all the steps, like soft restarting your device before you launch, lowest settings and no apps running in the background, you would probably still end up crashing. And with the on going increased crashing rates on IOS devices. Anything with less then 2GB of RAM struggles on long hauls, and some devices over 2GB struggle but not as much. I wouldn’t recommend doing anything more then 10-12 hours. Even then you’re pushing it from the sounds of it.

Your iPad Pro should be able to handle it, ensure graphics are set to lowest settings and changing to limit FPS. Airplane count none and hide dots, also keep in a ventilated area such as near a fan or window to ensure it doesn’t overheat

Thanks, I put it on low brightness so the screen doesn’t over heat and keep it on a slow charger.

Are you sure you’ve been inside the settings in the app and turned down the graphics settings? It might work for you after doing so. Ensure you restart your iPad prior to playing and maybe clear some of the storage if it’s getting full.

Graphics were on normal but I will try on low and my ipad storage is nearly full so I will try to clear some. Thanks

Lowering graphics and rendering might work. I would suggest you to put your device close to the Wi-Fi routes/the source of your network connection :)

If you have the iPad Pro, it’s really powerful and should handle it.
It’s the app’s problem not yours. It’s a known issue.
You can stick with short/medium hauls.
But your device should handle just fine.

The iPad pro (2017) has 3 GB of ram or even 4 if I am not mistaken.
imy crash rate really depends sometimes its 6hrs sometimes 3hrs
Same, I’ve done long hauls up to about 13 hrs which were fine, but with the recent IOS crash bug sadly I can’t do any long hauls. It keeps crashing.
