London to Istanbul in 10 replay screenshots.

Departing out of London Heathrow Airport, London, UK (LHR: EGLL) on Turkish Airlines flight TK1972 saw a much more quiet than normal airspace on the expert server yesterday, allowing this 8 year old Boeing 777-3F2ER to take to the skies without any delays. Bound for Istanbul Airport, Istanbul, Turkey (IST: LFTM) those 2 General Electric GE90 engines just shrugged their shoulders on a flight of just over 3 hours and showed their capabilities as not just short haul power plants but keeping their long range ability when required.

In fact, at the time of writing, this aircraft (TC-JJL) is actually in the air completing it’s 13 hour (thereabouts) flight from Istanbul to San Francisco on flight TK79 for real. The multi tasking capabilities of this aircraft are superb and that’s why the 777-300ER long been my absolute favourite plane to fly on here.

Screenshots were taken in order as the flight progressed with a couple of changed to time of day.

Good times.
