London City Airport Chemical Leak Evacuation and Closure

London City Airport has been evacuated after a ‘chemical leak’. LAS said they have treated 26 passengers at the terminal who felt ‘unwell’. Two patients have been taken to hospital. As a result London City has now been closed with over 500 people told to leave the airport.

Original Report and post suggested it was a ‘false alarm’ fire evacuation.

Wow! Wonder what’s going to happen to the traffic. Hope everyone is okay.

Already airbone traffic being diverted to Stansted and Heathrow, most other flights have been cancelled or delayed.

LFB have declared the terminal as ‘safe’ and that the incident is now ‘over’.

Doesn’t need to be closed just because it’s over, people can still talk about it.

They found an empty tear gas canister. Not police issue canister.

It would be cool if a tfr was put around London city for the time it was closed.

In IF EGLC will be the world’s busiest airport

Well, do you have a source?

Yes. After the Brussels Attacks, I went to Amsterdam and brussels was busier than KLAX and KSAN in rush hour COMBINED!
