I’ve always been fascinated by this classic aircraft. This aircraft was introduced in 1935 by the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, and made its first flight on February 23, 1934. This aircraft served both commercially and privately for a number of famous companies and people of interest. The Electra flew with Continental, Delta, Northwest, Eastern, and many more. This aircraft is most associated with Amelia Earhart. She disappeared whilst flying her Electra in attempts to fly around the world.
It’s twin radial engines set it apart from many other aircraft at the time, not to mention the twin tails on the aft! I think this would be so much fun to zip up and down the coast of California, especially when global comes out. I’d love to see some more general aviation aircraft, specifically some classic gas-guzzlers!
