Ex TAP Portugal L1011. was with them for about 2 years

this particular aircraft apparently had an incident in which the gear came up and down mid flight iirc and broke down quite often.

One of my favorite lines from Toby, in West Wing

“We’re flying in a Lockheed Eagle Series L1011. It came off the line 20 months ago. It carries a Sim-5 Transponder tracking system. Are you telling me I can still flummox this thing with something I bought at Radio Shack? Also, I never got my peanuts”

If the L-1011 (my favorite wide-body airliner of all time) isn’t added to IF, I’m going to throw a tissy with a strong resemblance to a fit. LOL

If we do get the tristar, should we get the -1, -100, or -500?

Whichever variant we get, we will be limited in terms of liveries, they were all equally distributed among the different variants.

I think the L1011-500 is most likely because it was the most widely operated, and we could get RAF liveries

the -1 and ‐100 are more or less the same aircraft only differing in performance though, so their combined set of liveries would still be a lot.

i’m not sure how realistic a -100 in Eastern’s livery would be since they only operated the lighter shorter ranged -1

yes but also classic liveries like Eastern and TWA can’t be adopted because the two airlines never operated -500s as far as I know
