Lockheed LC-130 w/skis

Having watched the latest Wendover Productions video, I though that those C-130s with skis for Antarctic operations would be a great addition and provide some great diversity to the conditions the planes are used for in IF.

What is the LC-130?
The Lockheed LC-130 is a ski-equipped United States Air Force variant of the C-130 Hercules used in the Arctic and Antarctic. Ten are currently in service with the 109th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard.

Don’t think that we need more of 130 family. And you will not be able to land in Antarctica in Infinite Flight as it will require a lot more work than just adding a plane. But a good idea and a nice plain:)

Actually there are airports in Antarctica but they have grass which is kind of unrealistic.

I don’t think this would be very good unfortunately, Antarctica doesn’t have real physics and you wouldn’t be able to fly this everywhere.

Did you just say Antarctica doesn’t have real physics? We’re discussing a huge landmass, not a simple car or bus…

He’s talking about in the game. This would be useless with our current Antarctica.

One could argue that all the fighters are useless because we don’t have weapons to put on them, but they’re still fun to fly. Antarctica isn’t the only place in the world which is coated in a layer of snow and ice.

Maybe it would be good, but only after some more editing to Antarctica has been done and creation of the runways on snow and ice rather than having them made of grass.

Should mine be closed because it’s inactive. I’ll let those mods decide.

My word on it is that I would like it but it’s not needed yet because the runways don’t have that texture to make it wet or icy. So I say no vote for me because of that.

Can we have the rockets too?

I closed the older one since it had no votes.
