C-17 rework is long overdue. Hopefully with the addition K Loader’s the C-17 will have some love put into it this year. Only time will tell… ⏳

Just thought this topic could use a bump! The C-5 is one of only two jet-powered heavy transport aircraft in the US arsenal, with the other being the c-17. I think it would be awesome to have this amazing jet in the simulator!

Could be a interesting type to have in sim. However it would be biased to USAF replicated operations only.
The C-17A being a multinational frame, would benefit more IF users. The Globemaster is in dire need of a rework.
Obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinions, however I urge all IFC members looking to see a newer version of military transport, to consider backing the C-17A.
The only way I see us being successful is joining together, to collectively support a project. We’re sadly outnumbered in the community and realistically I feel our only chance is back something already in game.

I would love to have both the C-5 and the C-17! One big benefit of having the Galaxy in the Air Force arsenal is that it can aid in emergency underwater rescue missions! Here’s a photo of a DSRV (Deep Sea Rescue Vehicle) being loaded into a C-5. On board a C-5, DSRVs can be deployed within 72 hours to be used for a rescue operation.
This is just one example of a whole slew of capabilities which the C-17 doesn’t have because it’s too small.
I could be wrong, but I believe this specific photo is of the DSRV Mystic, which was one of the first DSRVs to be built by the US. It was also featured in The Hunt for Red October!

I would love to see a C-5 added to infinite flight! I got to sit in one once and from the cockpit it seems impossible that something that size can fly, even if the C17 got reworked we definitely need some bigger military aircraft in the game.
