Livery for a Specific Aircraft Missing and You Can't Wait for It? Here Are Some Realistic Tips!

Tips for Flying Realistically Without Having to Wait for a Livery to Be Added On a Specific Aircraft

Well, hello everyone! :waving_hand:

We, the Infinite Flight pilots, know that we are impatient to see a new livery on a specific aircraft added on it, but awaiting them, here are some cool realistic tips to do! (for those who don’t know) :+1:
I’ve been scrolling worldwide on FR24 since a long time, and the tips came from it!

1°) Using an Another Airline Livery

Let’s take those flights for example:

On the first pic, the Algerian National airline, Air Algérie (you can see by the Flight Number and Callsign), have leased this Nouvelair A320, a Tunisian airline.

And in fact, since quite recently, the Algerian Airline have leased aircraft from some other Airlines, such as Amelia and Hifly.

On the pic below, this Air Baltic A220-300 is leased by Brussels Air.

On Infinite Flight, use a livery of an airline on a specific aircraft and pretend that the airline (you want to see in the sim), is leasing the aircraft of the airline you spawned with (by putting the Callsign of the airline (which its livery is missing in IF ofc) in question!)

2°) Using the Generic Livery (You already know it, but...)

The two first pics are the aircraft painted with the Tunisair Livery

This ex-Gulf Air A320 has been operating for Tunisair since 2023. However, the plane wasn’t painted with the Tunisair Livery until last August, it stayed white for nearly two years, a good example for waiting for a livery to be added on Infinite Flight
On Infinite Flight, spawn on an airport with the Generic Livery and pretend that it’s an aircraft that the airline is operating IRL (if available in the sim), and it’s waiting to wear its Livery.

A White Palestinian Air CRJ-200 rotating off from Rafah Airport, bound to Tehran, the aircraft is waiting to have the airline’s livery painted on it.

Bonus: You can also pretend that it has the Airline’s Name on it:

As said previously, don’t forget to use the Callsign of the Airline, which its livery is missing, to avoid getting escorted by the Realism Police VA

3°) Using an ACMI Livery

For the last tip, use an ACMI Aircraft (Hifly A330-900neo and A380, Titan A321 or SmartLynx (or other ACMI Airlines, such as Getjet, Avion Express…), those airlines are wearing the Generic Livery, so no problem there.

For SmartLynx, they are currently operating a fleet of A320ceos, A321ceos (and P2Fs), A330-300 and B737 MAX-8s.

This SmartLynx A320 (ES-SAD) is currently operating for Air Arabia

(On IF, you know the tip about the Callsign )

Awaiting delivery of its first A320 in the sim, Iran Air has planned to lease a Titan Air A321, but something goes wrong

Here’s a list of 10 ACMI Airlines in the World

Thanks for reading the topic and tips and happy flying (soon to 25.2)! ✈️

Amazing topic, I’m all too familiar with the pain of being patient for a certain livery to be added :smiling_face_with_tear: My only complaint with the Generic method is that most of the unavailable liveries (e.g. the A320) have no winglets or the older wingtip fences, while almost all of the Generic airliners in the sim have the winglets. It would be really nice if we could have the option to change that in the future.

You’re totally right on this, but for me, this should be applied to Generic Liveries only because, no Generic A321ceos have the Sharklets IRL

Let’s see if this topic will boost the usage of the HiFly A330-900neo (and also, increasing the love for Generic Liveries) :flexed_biceps:

Wonderful topic with lots of great tips! I already have a deep love for using the Generic livery and Private liveries a lot for recreating my flights perfectly instead of just using the specific livery on a different aircraft. Yes the only major issue with using the generic liveries is not having the ability to change the Wingtips to the various different types would be great to see this implemented for other liveries not just generic hopefully someday in the future!
