In case anybody wishes to have a crack at working on LiveFlight Connect, I’ve opened sourced the Windows and OS X versions.

Windows will receive some needed love soon :)

# LiveFlight Connect - OS X LiveFlight Connect for OS X allows you to control Infinite Flight on an iOS or Android device via your Mac using either joystick, keyboard, or mouse.

Uses Infinite Flight Connect, a TCP-based API introduced in version 15.10.0.

Usage

  • Install the latest release version via the “Releases” tab.
  • Enable Infinite Flight Connect within Infinite Flight, and make sure your device is on the same wifi network as your Mac
  • Get your joystick setup, and go have fun :)

Modifying Source

LiveFlight Connect is built in Objective-C/Swift. Simply clone the repo, run and build in Xcode!

Compatible Devices

There’s no guarantee this will play perfectly with your joystick or configuration. Devices which require two USB ports need some work still. These joysticks work fine:

  • Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X
  • Saitek X52 Pro
  • Logitech Extreme 3D

Hey,

I’d like to know if this project is still maintained or is it dead? Few major updates of macOS arrived and there wasn’t single update of this app or update of LiveFlight API from FDS which is still marked as experimental.

maybe some updates of API were included in last updates of IF but no words about it were spoken

Don’t get me wrong, this is great app but on mac is very unstable ant therfore unusable, because the connection drops too often and with it the whole app is crashing to the desktop.

Thanks

It isn’t something I have much time to work on; I will update it if there are any breaking changes in the Connect API (this happened in December 2017, for example), but I won’t be able to develop new features in the near future. Sorry about that!

That being said it is open source, so if anybody wishes to contribute, I will gladly push the update :)

macOS wise, I have heard reports but it’s never been something I’ve been able to repro. I will try and look if I get time.

When’s the update??? Hype is gone…
