Device: Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max
Operating system: iOS 18.5(22F76)
Infinite Flight 25.1.5 (14329) - FE06E13F - Apple iPhone 13,4
Phone State in-sim: Low Battery mode, Camera facing the sky, running Infinite Passengers for alerts, and IFAssistant for v-speeds, step-climbing, GPWS, PA’s, and RAAS. Both in background.
Issue: Irrespective of which connection method I use, personal hotspot from a separate iPhone or my home wi-fi network. Either way, I can never know which connection will be stable (enough) way to run extended sim sessions as I’ve done years before. Both methods, invariably, 6 times out of 10, I’m dished an irrecoverable network disconnection to the sim.
On advice seen on here, I’ve resorted to the standard reply of late by support to reset network settings on my device, switching connections wi-fi to hotspot and back, airplane moding on/off, more times than I care to count now, even went as far as resetting my home wi-fi network and getting on the phone with my ISP to suss out any issues possibly on their end, all of which did not yield any favorable results on any of the occasions where this issue presented itself.
I’ve had to resort to autopilot+ after a live server disconnection, resumed the flight, only to then AGAIN be disconnected from the live server. This has occurred up to 4 times in one single flight, and on alternating networks. (hotspot and/or local wi-fi, as I dont have any other networks available to me)
Autopilot+ has been the only way I’ve managed to complete several flights in the past month. Are we to infer that Autopilot+ is the one proper mitigating tool for this persistent live server disconnection issue?
I’ve installed two hot-fixes as of late, yet neither seemed to address this particular issue.
