Does anyone know what goes into creating a live version of cockpits? Like all the airbus planes you can see the electronics in the cockpits turn on and actually work, but in most of the boeing and Douglas planes, they don’t. I don’t know a whole lot about creating games so forgive the lack of terminology lol
Some of the Boeing, Bombardier and Douglas planes were brought to IF before a ‘live cockpit’ came out on the A320-family. Sadly all of the mentioned planes haven’t been reworked until today. In the future all planes of the IF fleet might get a live cockpit but for now that’s just speculation.
Ah okay thank you
HEY!
I just want to tell you that creating a live cockpit for each aircraft is no easy task. Some Douglas aircraft models are very old, and making a live cockpit for them requires re-adapting the aircraft model, which means a much larger workload. This is almost no different from remaking an entire aircraft. For example, take the upcoming remake of the 787-9. Why is the production team only making a cockpit for the 787-9? Why can’t it be applied to the entire 787 series? This is because the appearance models of each aircraft differ. The cockpit of the 787-8 is not fully compatible with that of the 787-9, so they cannot be directly applied. Therefore, remaking cockpits is an extremely huge task. Currently, IF does not have extremely high production capacity, so it cannot make cockpits for every aircraft. We need time.
@Keanu-X I don’t believe he is building or coding anything. I believe he was asking about the process that IF might use. Possibly as part of an inquiry as to why a lot of the aircraft in IF don’t have live cockpits. @APPR119.275 appropriately answered his question.
Ohh yeah I thought initially they meant why.
