LIPE ILS inaccuracy

At LIPE runway30 final, PAPI light and ILS seems not be matched

It was APPR mode and I approached on the ILS
but PAPI light is both white

I think PAPI light is right but ILS is inaccurate

Thanks for the report, Petronas!

ILS issues are widespread due to changes to some runway’s coordinates throughout the editing process.

At the moment, the Team is waiting on a system that will enable ILS modifications. Nonetheless, I have added this to the list of airports needing corrections.

Take care!

VIS Glideslope and ILS Glideslope are generally not the same. As the PAPI lights are manually placed within IF, they can be inaccurately displayed.

In this case, the PAPI lights are correctly placed. However, the glideslope for Runway 30 in real life is 3.5°, while only 3.0° in Infinite Flight. This is likely the reason for the incorrect reading received by the OP.

@Petronas_AMG- this should be corrected for the next update and will hopefully resolve the issue.

And PAPI are a VISUAL reference. They generally do not coincide with INSTRUMENT approaches and their respective glide paths.

Despite that Visual and Radio Glideslope might be different in real world as well, the visual Glideslope by the PAPI is usually been more precise in IF then the ILS Glideslope because it is placed manually.
The ILS touchdown point is placed in IF as a standard delta to the threshold. That is not the way it is in real world. The PAPI where placed by hand to where they are in real world.
This might change in future, but for now the PAPI is more realistic in therms of its location.
