After an amazing 3 days in Lusaka, it is time to make our way to Johannesburg. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay- it was nice to be away from tourist crowds and expensive tourist traps.
Today we will be flying Airlink 163H. We got to the airport early- check-in was quite chaotic, but we got through and got into the departure hall with 40 minutes to spare before boarding.

Meal service began over Zambia with a very nice grilled chicken sandwich with salad and yogurt and a drink, and I chose a coke. Not amazing but good for a regional route, but the crew was great, 7/10.
Jen took the opportunity to finish up a book, while I went through my photos from our stay in Lusaka in Lightroom.

Approaching FAOR
Had a very hard landing and a float. During my flight, open beta tweaked out and the airport was not there- just satellite imagery, but ILS still worked.
Disembarking in OR Tambo Int’l. Overall, a pretty decent flight- although the seat was cramped, the crew was very friendly and professional, and the food was decent, which made the flight a lot more pleasant. 7/10.
We will spend 3 days in Johannesburg excluding today- we will spend today visiting a friend who declines to be named and settling into the hotel. Tomorrow we will visit key sights like the Apartheid Museum, Soweto & Vilakazi Street, Constitution Hill, and the Origins Centre Museum independently, the day after we will take a city bus tour, and on the third day we will go shopping in the city center before our flight to Antananarivo.
