Lima 9 Airway Contrail Spotting

I live under Lima 9, England’s busiest commercial airway which stretches West to Ireland and East over Continental Europe! It was a nice sunny day yesterday and with the help of FR24, I captured some of these shots!

what telephoto lens did you use?

The Canon SX510 is a bridge camera, I used 60x Zoom. It’s a lot better then using my DSLR, the max I can is 300mm. However, quality is reduced quite a lot

Looks like an A330 to me. Nice pics!

Nice. Reminds me of the pics I took with my SX530 of the inbounds into Munich near Innsbruck on holiday last year.

I can see that, but it has the engines of a 777. Does appear to have winglets.

Yeah. It’s also wierd that a 777 operates to CLT

Ahh, SX530! Nice camera, you’ve got more optical zoom with that one!

@777-200LR @nicochile2 It’s 100% a 777! FR24 said so and I think it looks like a 777 myself.

However, the JKF-CLT leg is flown by a 738. Still under AA101
