Level 3 Violation Issued Mistakenly by ATC

Device:IQOO Z10R
Operating system:Origin OS 6

Dear Infinite Flight Support Team,

I am writing to formally request a review and removal of a Level 3 violation issued on my account for an altitude deviation during an ILS RWY 23 approach into CYYZ (Toronto Pearson International Airport).

Summary of the incident:
During the approach, I was cleared for the ILS RWY 23 approach by Toronto Approach and subsequently instructed to descend and maintain 4,000 feet. However, I descended to 3,000 feet instead, as I was concerned about intercepting the glideslope from too high an altitude and closing in on it too quickly. This deviation from my assigned altitude resulted in a Level 3 violation for not following ATC instructions.

Grounds for appeal:
Following the flight, I contacted the Approach controller who was actively working the frequency at the time of the incident to clarify the situation. The controller admitted that it was a mistake and mentioned that he simply wanted to remind me to follow ATC-assigned instructions. Given this acknowledgment directly from the controlling ATC, I believe the violation may not accurately reflect the nature of the mistake and respectfully request that it be reconsidered.

Request:
I kindly ask that the support team review the ATC logs/replay for this session and consider removing or downgrading the Level 3 violation from my account, taking into account the controller’s confirmation that this was an isolated error in judgment rather than intentional non-compliance. If needed, I can provide the session replay link.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I’m happy to provide any additional details, such as the flight callsign, date/time of the session, or server, if needed to help locate the relevant records.

Best regards,
SKULL_VECTOR / PAL118 HEAVY

If you believe the violation was issued incorrectly, you can send the information you provided above to the @appeals group.

Once your appeal has been submitted, the Appeals Team will carefully review the available evidence, including the replay and ATC logs if necessary. They may also contact the controller involved for additional information before reaching a decision.

Please note that submitting additional posts or asking for updates will not speed up the review process. We appreciate your patience while the team investigates your appeal.

Thank you!
