The chance of Kevin seeing this is low due to the fact he’s currently controlling and probably won’t be checking the forum.
In the future it’s often a good idea to check whether you are overweight before contacting ATC and dump fuel if needed.

Please do not ping the IFATC mods in this situation. There is no way to declare you are overweight as it’s the pilots responsibility to make sure you are below Max Landing Weight before commencing your approach.
Either dump fuel before contacting ATC or land manually while overweight. There’s no penalty for it per se.

This was the first time this happened to me, and it caught me completely off guard! Everything was going smoothly until I reached the point of arming the approach. That’s when I realized I was overweight. Since then, I’ve been working to burn off fuel and have requested clearance to dump fuel at 7,000 feet. However, it seems there was some misunderstanding. At least I’ve learned a lesson from this experience!

I agree it was my fault for being unaware of the landing weight; however, having the option to declare overweight in the future would be great😭

fuel dumping in infinite flight is quick so it’s your fault your overweight there doesn’t need to be a button it’s all responsibility wise to say i need to dump fuel.
